Announcements:
Please check to see if your students has enough pencils. Some days I have half the class asking for something to write with or writing with something like a dry erase marker! Reading: One of the most difficult ideas to come to grips with in reading is theme. What's the big idea of a story? What's the lesson? What sort of ideas do we see again and again? We've been reading children's books to practice finding theme, and the kids have done a great job. Writing: A new writing project is upon us! We're early in the stages of planning our next story, but it will be about superheroes, and so far the kids have been very into it. Math: Division is over and I couldn't be more proud of the class! Hopefully you saw the test come home on Friday, because they were all very impressive! Social Studies: Why do we have a government, and why do we let people make rules for us? That was our focus this week, and hopefully your students can answer those questions! Comments are closed.
