Announcements:
Please check to see if your students has enough pencils. Some days I have half the class asking for something to write with or writing with something like a dry erase marker! Reading: Authors tend to write books with great detail, and they use that detail to help tell the story and enrich the setting and characters. This week we've been reading books and trying to study how these authors are using detail to make their worlds more interesting. Writing: The class has really taken off with writing their superhero stories. They have had some great ideas, and we're all planned out now. We'll be rough drafting and revising next week. Math: New unit alert! Math uses letters now, and it's not as scary as they thought! Ask your kids what a variable is and how we can use them to represent and solve math problems. Social Studies: We have rights that are very important to the idea of being American, and those rights and how we use them has been our focus this week in Social Studies. Comments are closed.
