Announcements:
Our Christmas party will be at 9:15 on Friday unless it will be interrupted by a school assembly, in which case it might be a little earlier. I will keep everyone updated via remind. We will not have regular word study words next week because there is so much extra stuff going on. Reading: We have been reading informational books for quite some time now, so this week we ventured off into fiction for a bit. At this age, kids are good at answering questions, but not always good at explaining their thoughts. This week we focused on using details from text to explain our thinking and how to write a good answer to a question. Writing: We finished typing our persuasive essays this week, and we'll be publishing next week after some revision and editing! Math: This week we hit a real rough patch and got stuck on some long division, but this class is very hard working. We stuck together and pulled through, and I really think we're on the other side of the hard part. We will not be having a test before break. As much as I wanted to, we're just not quite ready yet. Social Studies: Supply and demand and how they interact with prices can be a very difficult subject, but we took a look at those ideas on the surface this week. Comments are closed.
