Announcements:
Remember that January 20th is a day off, and then 22nd, 23rd, and 24th are half days. We will be taking NWEA tests on those half days. Reading: The class is still in the middle of a fiction unit, and this week we were looking at theme and how to identify it in a story. It's a tough concept, so we'll be doing it next week as well. Writing: We are finally done and finished with our essays and they should be coming home graded soon. Math: The kids are doing great with division, so this week we took those skills and applied them to word problems. Division word problems are tricky, but they're doing a good job. We're just about done with that, and our division test will be on Thursday of next week. Social Studies: Our economics unit has come to a close! Our main focus this week was circular flow and publicly owned institutions. Next week we'll be starting to learn about government and civics. Comments are closed.
